Hey there, friend.

My name is Katie. I'm married to Alex, and he's my guy. Our six loves are Harper Kristin, Cannon Lee, Jordi Daniel, Ava Honor - who came to us through the foster care system in October 2018 - Beckett Alexander and Braylen Kai. Yep. Six of them.

I write because the most sense I can make of the world comes through two things: knowing Jesus and putting words on paper.  So that's what I do here: I write about my faith, my family, disability, adoption, trauma, my community, friendship, writing, and figuring out how to live a life that is all for God's glory. 

And because one can tell a lot about a person by a good list of favorites, mine include: my navy blue sherpa throw blanket, black leggings, an oversized sweatshirt, late nights and hard questions, sharpie pens, college football Saturdays, and anything that starts with the words salted caramel.
